In its 3rd year of publishing the Forty Under 40 special issue, the Home Furnishings Business magazine recognized 40 individuals who have made their mark on the industry in such a short time. This year, MicroD’s Jessica Norby was a recipient of this prestigious nomination and we celebrate with the other companies whose young leaders made the cut as well.
The Forty Under 40 honorees are selected because of their contributions to an industry that is on a new path to stay relevant to the new generations of consumers in the marketplace. Each of the nominees was highlighted in the June issue of the HFB Magazine and again at High Point Market in a special event hosted by HFB.
Innovation and leadership of the next generation is nothing new to the home furnishings industry. MicroD partnered with Next Generation Now to host a tour of eager industry innovators at High Point Market; bringing more awareness to the need for passionate, strong leaders in the new generation like Forty Under 40 honorees.
The best and brightest of the home furnishings industry met at an event to honor the recipients of the Class of 2016 honorees. Speaking at the event were HFB Magazine owner Bob George and Marketing Executive Jane Chero. Each took the time to thank the recipients for outstanding work in their line of work and congratulate them on a wonderful achievement. In her short time in this industry, Chero noted that she had met many inspiring people and several of them were named in this year’s class of honorees. She went on to express how truly impressed she is with the younger generation who are making such a positive impact to the home furnishings business at large.
MicroD’s own Jessica Norby received a nomination this year for her incredible talents and accomplishments. “It was very humbling…and honestly a nice surprise. I really have learned so much in my last 4 years in the industry” says Norby. “I look up to a lot of the leaders and to be recognized as a future leader is very exciting for me.”
Jessica Norby plays a large part in educating professionals in our industry on the ways to meet needs of the future generation while staying ahead of the technology changes.
“I want to make a big impact and as technology continues to play a bigger role in our future, I want to be on the leading edge.”
MicroD fits like a glove for Jessica, who dreams of continuing to bring innovative solutions to the industry in order to keep growing and keep thriving.
We are proud to have such great leaders represented at MicroD to share their expertise and excitement with the clients, partners, and industry professionals of MicroD.
